Welcome to the Shipping PolicyThis page explains how shipping, local delivery, timing, and bulk book orders currently work for direct purchases of Cold Showers — The Journey Within. It is written to answer the real questions people ask most often — clearly, simply, and without mystery. Some parts of this system are still growing in real time. The book is moving faster than I expected in certain waves, and I am doing my best to keep pricing fair, communication personal, and value high while building this carefully.

Yes — signed direct orders are shipped across Canada.This includes single book orders and 2-book bundles. Direct orders are personally fulfilled and may include:

• signed copies
• personal inscription when requested
• author declaration letters
• wrapping and presentation materials
• thank-you extras when available

The goal is not just to get a book into the mail. The goal is to make sure it arrives handled with care and real intention.

Flat Rate Across Canada: $20That $20 shipping rate applies whether you order:

• 1 book
• or the 2-book bundle

Canada Post charges a flat rate parcel cost here, and that price is outside of my control. In simple terms: $20.00 shipping = Canada Post flat rate parcel pricing ($18.00 + 5%) No tax is charged on the book order itself. Clean. Simple. Predictable.

Why I Sometimes Recommend AmazonIf you are outside Canada — or in some cases if speed matters more than signed extras — Amazon is often faster and more cost-effective. Direct ordering here is for people who want the signed, personal, wrapped version. Amazon is often the better option if your priority is speed, international convenience, or hardcover availability.

Delivery timing depends on three things:

• current inventory on hand
• where you are located
• the current delivery or shipping wave

If inventory is here and ready — bam, it goes out the door. If I am waiting on fresh stock or working through an order wave, timing can extend while I make sure everything is fulfilled properly and at the best value possible.

Why can local orders still take a few weeks?This is one of the most understandable questions on the page. Local does not always mean immediate. You might live down the block, see me in church, or know I am right in the area — and still not receive the book for a few weeks if inventory is between print waves or timing is backed up. No disrespect at all. That is simply the reality of a growing launch being handled personally, carefully, and at the lowest workable pricing I can manage.

• Kelowna (depending on route timing)

The $5 delivery charge helps cover fuel, route coordination, and drop-off time.Have you seen gas prices lately? 🙂

Yes — signed copies can be sent outside Canada.That said, for most customers in the USA, UK, Europe, Australia, and other international locations, Amazon is usually:

• faster
• more cost-effective
• more predictable for delivery timing

If you want the signed direct version, that is still possible. But for most international readers, Amazon is the simpler route.

Once your order is placed, your payment institution provides an immediate electronic record of the transaction.Then, within 24 hours, I personally follow up by call, text, or email. I also let you know when the order has been sent. This is still a personal fulfillment system more than a fully automated warehouse model.

Do I really call, text, or email personally?Yes. I really do send personal communication directly myself. In many cases, that message comes right from my own phone.

What is actually happening behind the scenes?Books are being ordered, signed, prepared, wrapped, organized, and sent in real time as this grows. Some systems are already in place. Some are still being built properly. The goal is to keep the process honest, personal, and as fair in cost as possible while the operation grows.

For bulk orders of 10 books or more, I prefer a direct conversation.That gives us room to talk properly about:

Alberta & Saskatchewan GoalAlberta and Saskatchewan are both areas I would like to grow intentionally. If I have enough businesses ordering consistently — especially in the range of 10 to 15 locations — then building an actual delivery route starts to make real sense. At that point, the trip can begin to justify the gas, the time, and the route planning. So yes — if you know bookstores, service businesses, gift shops, wellness spaces, or personal stores in Alberta or Saskatchewan that could carry 10 or more books per month, please find me those people. I really would like to come out more often.
